SD 91 SE MILNROW LOWER OGDEN Lane Bottom
4/98 The Barn Tea Shop and The Barn
G.V. II House and adjoining barn, the barn now converted for domestic use. Early C18. Watershot squared rubble with graduated stone slate roof. 2-unit 2-storey house at right- angles to the former barn. Quoins and projecting plinth. The front (west) of the house is largely obscured by the barn but the right-hand bay has two 3-light chamfered mullion windows. Gable chimney stacks. 2 and 3-light chamfered mullion windows to gables and rear. The barn had opposed cart entries (now blocked) on the south flanked by later outshut additions and on the north with an original outshut. Windows and dormer windows have been inserted in C20. The house retains 2 original battened doors, one with latch mechanism and handle. Hewn beams. Included for group value.
