4/168 Lukes Fold - Farmhouse
G.V. II
House. "HIE 1699" on door lintel but much altered in C18. Squared rubble and hammer-dressed stone (partly watershot) with graduated stone slate roof and brick stacks (one of which is rendered). Total of 6 bays and 2 storeys with a 2- storey porch wing and a C20 porch. C20 bow and casement windows to bays 1, 2 and 3 with C20 porch in bay 2. The original porch wing has quoins and two 2-light double- chamfered stone mullion windows with hoodmoulds (the upper with the mullion removed) below a coped gable with kneelers. The dated lintel (now above a C20 bow window) is on the right side which has an arched first floor window. One coped gable with kneelers. 3 ridge chimney stacks. Rear has 3 blocked window openings, one an arched light the others 3- light double-chamfered mullion windows, as well as a C20 bow window.
