Includes no 1 Burlton Terrace. Two houses, now three. Second half C15, extended C17, partly rebuilt late C18 with some mid-C19 alterations, restored 1976. Timber-frame with painted brick and rendered infill, partly rebuilt in brick with tile roof. Four framed bays to front range are C15, two bays to a house, C17 rear wing to no 59 is now no 1 Burlton Terrace, another C17 rear wing to no 60; gable end of no 59 has evidence that building continued further to left (south). The hall of no 59 was to the south end, that of no 60 to the north end, with the solars in the two central bays of the front range, stacks at junctions with rear wings. No 59: two storeys, two windows: 2-light C20 casements; ground floor: 3-light casement to left, 2-light casement to right, both C20; entrance at left hand corner to alley leading to no 1 Burlton Terrace has a C20 boarded door; entrance to house between two windows to right of centre has C20 pedimented wooden doorcase and a 4-panel C20 door. No 60: three storeys, two windows: boxed glazing bar sashes under segmental heads with stone sills; second floor: boxed 6-pane sashes; ground floor: boxed, recessed glazing bar sash to left, 3-light casement under segmental head to right; entrance to left of centre has a wooden architrave and a 4-panel C20 door; back entrance to right corner has a wooden architrave and a C20 ledged and boarded door. Framing: originally two rectangular panels high to C15 range; roof trusses are clasped purlins with two struts to collar and curved wind- braces; rear wing to no 59 (no 1 Burlton Terrace) is of two phases, both C17 framing, the first phase three square panels high raised by a further square panel, gable truss has a collar and two struts above and below; rear wing of no 60: seven square panels high, gable truss has two struts to collar and V-struts above.
