north-east) GV II House and shop; early C18; Flemish-bond brickwork, painted to
front, on stone plinth; tiled roof. Three windows wide, 3½ storeys
on left, 2 on right. Of one build, with continuous eaves and roof.
On left 2-light mullion and transom window, steep segmental head,
brick-on-end arch with projecting stone keystone: iron opening
light. To right 6-panel front door, upper fielded, bottom 2 flush;
iron knocker. Plain reveals, moulded surround, thin, panelled
pilasters each side, carrying consoles: fluted frieze. Projecting
pediment, very small dentils to underside and to slope. To right
shop front, framed plain pilasters carrying consoles; on left 4-
panel front door, flush panels, single-pane fanlight over. Single-
sheet shop window, low stallboard, 3 narrow panes above. Plain
fascia, under projecting top. Above, on left window as ground
floor, with above 2-light casement, head as below, but brick-on-
edge arch. On right, in same height, 2 sash windows, flat head,
rubbed-brick arch with projecting stone keystone. Wooden fascia to
eaves. On left gabled dormer, 2-light casement window with
cambered head, iron opening light. Brick chimney on left gable,
behind ridge, and on right in front of ridge, external stack.
