8/83 Churchyard Wall and Steps to N of Church of St. Margaret of Antioch

GV II

Wall along road with steps up to Church of St. Margaret of Antioch (q.v.). 1871 by W. Butterfield. Flint with brick and stone dressings. Wall of 1 to 2 metres in height has red brick pilaster strips and a cogged course to segmental brick coping. Stone dressed corner piers with moulded heads, return walls to steps have triangulated coping. Included for group value.
