KNOWLE ST GILES CP PINKHAM LANE (North side, off) ST31SE Table tomb in churchyard, about 2 2/67 metres south of porch, former Church of St Giles

19.11.80 GV II

Table tomb. Probably of C19, but may just be C15/C16. Ham stone. Base buried; traceried panels to sides, 2 each end and 6 each flank; moulded coving with applied rosette decoration, chamfered very heavv flat top. An inscription to J Down, died 1837. No other such examples of this design noted in the area, hence doubts over dating.
