Timber-framed and plastered, some brick, peg-tiled roof, red
brick stacks. U shaped plan of principal range with rear
additions. One and a half and 2 storeys with cellar. Front E
elevation: mainly C20 restoration, 3 window range. Ground
floor, two 3-light casements with glazing bars, 6x3 panes, at
N end, 1 sash window with glazing bars, 4x4 panes, raised
cellar light below on pavement. 2 doorways alternating with
windows, to S, with simple peg-tiled hood on brackets, door
boarded and battened, to N, doorway united with sash window by
weathering board, area below now of brick, door has upper
glazing, 2x3 panes, 3 lower panels. 3 gabled dormer windows
over windows below, each with double casements, glazing bars,
4x3 panes. Large stack at S end from roof apex, second stack
from apex between central and N windows. Rear, W elevation:
whole back of original house extended in C19 and C20, nearly
all features now C20. N wing of 2 phases, principal 2 storey
run has rebuilt red brick stack at W end with further red
brick ground floor extension. One first floor C19 sash window
with glazing bars in range, all rest C20 casements, C20 door.
Secondary lean-to in internal angle. Central unit, 2 storey,
flat roofed addition, 2 window range, taken into original roof
pitch, C20 casements. S wing, N side has C20 door and adjacent
C20 double casement window.
INTERIOR: No.10, total C20 reworking, including relined cellar
lit from raised street light.
