House, including probable former outbuilding. C17 front to
earlier core. Stone rubble; C19 and C20 render; plain tile
roof with 2 ridge lines; 2 C18 brick stacks to right front,
with 2 brick stacks to rear.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and cellar; 7-window range: early C19
mullion and transom casements; plastered eaves.
Entrance to centre left: C19, 6-panel door in moulded
architrave; jetty over, continuing over C20 casement, and
plank double doors, to left; further 8/8 sash; to right, two
C16, 4 and 3-light stone mullion windows with lattice leaded
lights under cambered heads; rubble pilaster buttress. Left
returned side plastered, to probable timber-frame. C18 wing to
rear with pantile roof and brick stack. Right returned side of
brick, with timber-framed gable.
INTERIOR: C18 dogleg staircase with turned balusters and
newels with finials, and panelled dado. 1st floor: 3 late C19
wood fire surrounds; 4-panel doors with architraves; C19 plank
doors; exposed hammer-beam derived roof.
Ground floor: window shutters; 6- and 4-panel doors with
architraves; exposed C17 box framing; doorway with 4-centred
arch and carved spandrels; two C19 wall cupboards; early C19
fireplace. Cellar: medieval; early C18, 2-leaf door; stone
steps; stone-lined; stone stack base; some brick and slate
bins; brick and cobbled floor.
