Formerly known as: Outbuildings at Dytchleys South Weald Common. Stable and service range on NE side of service court to NE of Dytchleys (qv). Late C18 and C19. Red brick, much repaired but C18 work in Flemish bond with burnt headers visible in sections along whole length, dentilled eaves course. Peg-tiled roof, hipped at N end and butting on to 3-storeyed clock tower at S. Approx central C20 stack and 2 wooden vents on apex at roof ends. EXTERIOR: E elevation to court, single storey irregular but a central C19 8-light window of 2 horizontal sliding sashes and 6 fixed sashes with glazing bars. each 3x2 panes. A C19 hay loft doorway above combines to make a dominant feature with gable with shaped barge boards and finial (door missing). To N of centre are two C19 pointed arched windows with single sashes, glazing bars 3x2 panes. Window arch has vertical glazing bars and 3 fixed panes (sash rides up behind shaped window head). C19 boarded door in segment headed arch, C18 `Gothic' arched window with sliding sash, glazing bars, 2x3 panes, upper single glazing bar and 2 fixed panes. C20 6-light casement window in 2 rows of 3, each light of 2x2 panes. C18 Gothic arched sliding sash window re-glazed with glazing bars (was 2x3, 2x2 panes, now, in arch, single bar and 2 fixed panes). To S of centre C18 Gothic arched window having sliding sash with glazing bars, 2x3 panes, in arch, single vertical glazing bar and 2 fixed panes. Entry doorway with round arched head. Blocked segment headed doorway with boss and central hole in blocking. Two C18 Gothic windows, re-glazed, one with 2-light casement and one with 2 fixed lights. Tower has string course between first and second floors with wall shaped down from string course to eaves of service range. Ground floor blocked Gothic arched window opening, first floor, window-like opening as one below. Door of opening in tower base is boarded and pierced for birds to enter. Second floor has dentilled cornice and clock face. Above, Chinese style square bell turret with trellis brackets, swept lead roof and ornamental weather vane. S face of tower first floor has a columbarium in Gothic arch and wall shaped in similar style to court. Ground floor has C20 swivel window with glazing bars, 5x2 panes and one 3-light casement. Listing to stop where shaped wall from tower meets the eaves of range continuing to NE. Dytchleys and its outbuildings form a group.
