Church. C14 with C15 tower but much restored in mid C19 by Edward Banks. Ashlar with tile roofs. 3-bay chancel; lower 5-bay nave with lean-to north and gabled south aisles; north vestry; south aisle with south east Hordern chapel; west tower. Coped gables; weathered buttresses. Chancel has C19 three-light east window, and 3-light north and south windows; north ogee-headed entrance. South aisle has C19 three-light windows and 4-light east and west windows with Decorated tracery; gabled porch has pointed entrance and gabled buttresses; south east angle has small gabled projection with ashlar roof, light and gable cross. North aisle has coped parapet, C19 two-light east and west windows and 3-light windows flanking parallel gabled vestry; round-headed entrance with tympanum; C19 two-light vestry windows. Tower has moulded plinth; 4-light window with Perpendicular tracery, clock face above; 2-light louvred bell openings, top cornice and embattled parapet with pinnacles. INTERIOR: C15 hammer-beam chancel roof with double wind braces; ogee-headed sedilia and piscina, north Easter sepulchre; nave arcades on octagonal piers, C19 deep-arch-braced roof; 2 ogee arches to vestry and organ loft; tower arch with imposts; arcading to reredos with flanking Commandment and Creed boards; richly carved ashlar pulpit and lectern; round late Norman font with palmettes and C17 recarving; good late C17 and early C18 wall tablets e.g. to Whitgreaves and Goughs, C17 brass plate to Thomas Leacrofte and Gothic Revival tablet to Corser family, 1820ff, in north aisle; early C19 busts in Hordern chapel; C14 stained glass fragments in chancel, some C19 glass, e.g. east window by C.Winton.
