Pair of cottages, now house. c1800, with later C19 cottage built under same roof. Coursed chalk rubble with brick quoins and dressings and English bond brick C19 cottage to left; half-hipped thatch roof with brick left end and ridge stacks. Single-unit plans. 2 storeys; 2-window east front with brick flat arches over 2-light wood casements, blocked right-of-centre doorway to earlier house on right and plank door to left. Interior not inspected but known to be little altered since C19. The earlier cottage represents a significant example ofa single-unit dwelling, extended by a similar cottage in the later C19. A complete and little altered example in the vernacular tradition, having group value with the listed No 17 (qv).
