Farmhouse and barn, converted to two attached properties. C16 core with C18
and C19 refashioning and C19 tarn (Wessex) on north side. Banded flint and
stone walls. Thatch roofs, hipped at south-east, and half-hipped at north-
east. C18 brick stack on Tudor Cottage; 2 C19 brick stacks on Wessex Barn.
Rough U-plan of buildings. 2 storeys, and attics. West elevation, 4 windows,
hollow-chamfered stone mullions of 2-, 3- and 4-lights, iron casements with
rectangular leaded quarries. Separate labels over ground floor windows. C20
door, right of centre with single glass panel. C20 pentice-roofed lobby on
east elevation, with C20 plank doors into Tudor Cottage and Wessex Barn.
3-light C20 casements on south-east gable end. Interior of Tudor Cottage:
C16 doorway, now internal with moulded jambs and 4-centred head. Stone fire-
place, re-used from Frampton Priory, with straight-chamfered jambs and head
with trefoil-cusped panels, and recessed quatrefoils and square panels.
Blocking inside fireplace, C20. Reset ceiling beams with mounted chamfers,
C16. Wessex Barn, south elevation: 2 storeys, 5 windows, 3-light (ground) and
2-light cast-iron casements with glazing-bars. Front door, right of centre,
stable-door type, C20. Thatch porch canopy over, carried on wooden posts.
