MANCHESTER Didsbury PALATINE ROAD, (East side) Church of St Aidan, United Reform Church 20/06/88 II Methodist church. 1901 by architect Henry Lord. Red brick, with terracotta dressings and slate roof. Late Gothic manner. Four-bay nave with transepts, chancel. Porch at west gable end, with flying buttresses rising to flank the west window, which has three lancets in a moulded blank arch; coupled lancet windows in the sides; tall fleche on roof; coupled two-light traceried windows to the transepts; chancel with two-light Y-traceried east window.

Interior: fine Art Nouveau stained glass by Walter J. Pearce.
