Manor House II House. Late C17 and c1790, with mid C19 alterations and mid
C20 addition. Brick with plain tile roofs, single gable and 2
ridge stacks.
2 storeys plus attics. 3:2 windows. South front has to left
the original house, 3 bays. To right, a renewed door flanked
by 3-light casements under a flat hood, and in the centre a
canted wooden bay window, 3 lights. To left, a 3-light
casement. Above, three 3-light casements and above again, 3
shouldered gabled dormers, each with a 2-light casement. All
these windows have Gothick glazing bars.
To right, a lower wing, 3 bays, with a window to left and a
mid C20 addition to right, with 3-light window and glazed
door. Above, 2 small casements and a larger C20 French window.
Adjoining on the right, a range of C19 carriage houses, single
storey, now garages. 2 pairs of segment-arched double doors.
At the rear, a double gabled wing, late C18, with, on the
first floor, a small 3-light Gothick casement flanked by large
glazing bar sashes.
INTERIOR has late C17 chamfered spine beams with lamb's tongue
stops, inglenook fireplace, and on the first floor, a late C18
fireplace with painted ashlar surround.
