WEST ASHTON BRATTON ROAD ST 85 NE (east side) 6/279 Manor Farmhouse 11.9.81 GV II
Farmhouse. Mid C17, altered C18. English bond brick, Bridgwater tiled roof, gable end brick stacks, coped verge to right. Gable end to road. Two-storey, 4-window. Six-panelled door in gabled porch to right of centre, two recessed cyma-mullioned casements with hoodmoulds to right, C18 rebuilt left hand bay with 3-light casement. First floor has 3-light. casement to left, 2-light and two 3-light ovolo-mullioned casements to right. Rubble stone left return has single-light ground floor casement, C19 two-light ovolo- mullioned sashes to first floor. C19 brick wing to rear right has ovolo-mullioned sashes, C18 rubble stone wing to left with casements and half-hipped roof. Interior not accessible at time of survey (February 1987). Probably originally a five-bay C17 house, the left two bays rebuilt C18 and rear wing added C19.
