ST4715 NORTON SUB HAMDON CP CHURCH LANE (End) 9/188 Patch monument in churchyard, about 10 metres south of south aisle, Church of St. Mary the Virgin - GV II Chest tomb. C18, Ham stone, with Keinton stone panels. Moulded plinth; bolection-mould panels to flanks and ends, the latter segmentally curved, no frieze; cornice-moulded coving to shaped hip top. Commemorates Richard Cox, died 1688, and Betty Cox, died 1720 - the incised lettering of fine quality appears to be of the later date.
