Wood Lane House) II House and adjoining service wing, and stable range, now
countryside centre. Early C19. Ashlar with painted ashlar
dressings and hipped slate roof with 2 ridge and 4 side wall
coped stone stacks.
EXTERIOR: plinth, rusticated quoins, modillion eaves. 2
storeys; 3 window range. Windows are 12 pane sashes, the
central one corniced, the flanking ones with multi keystone
lintels. Central doorcase with Doric piers and open pediment,
with half-glazed door and fanlight. On either side, single
plain sashes with multi-keystone lintels.
To left, a set back service wing, 2 storeys; 2 window range,
with 12 pane sashes. Rear has to left a small glazing bar sash
set immediately above another. To right, two 12 pane sashes.
Below, central 9-panel door flanked to left by a canted bay
window with a 16 pane sash, and to right by a large triple
sash.
To right, a link wall with segment-headed doorway, and a
stable with stone slate roof topped with a square ventilator.
Main stable range, to left, 2 storeys; 3 window range. 2
pitching eyes and to right, a 12 pane sash. Above, a gabled
dormer with a glazing bar window. Central elliptical arched
carriage door with keystone, flanked to right by a 12 pane
sash and to left by a door and beyond, a boarded up window.
Left return also has a pitching eye and below, 2 doors and a
window.
