HESSLE AND HILLTOP DONCASTER ROAD SE 41 NW (south side) 5/18 Bar House - - II
Toll house, now house. Early C19. Coursed squared sandstone, stone slate roof (now coated with bitumen). Three-unit plan. Single storey, symmetrical; projecting canted centre has doorway with plain surround and boarded door; in each canted side, and in each outer bay, one 2-light window with recessed chamfered mullion, and board shutters. Hipped roof with deep projecting eaves; chimney behind centre of ridge, with 3 diagonal corniced flues.
