SEEND MARTINSLADE ST 96 SE 4/322 No 9 (The White House)
GV II
House, later C18, roughcast on brick with Bridgwater tile roof, coped gables and end stacks. 2 storeys and attic, 3-window range of cyma-moulded flush mullion windows with small-paned lights. Three-light windows each side with centre sash, 2-light to first floor centre over 4-panel door in raised moulded surround with hood on brackets. Flush quoins show on painted brick end walls. Attached to south a rubble stone outbuilding with pantiled roof, half-hipped to south. Possibly the house owned by H. Scott mentioned in connection with the construction of the canal in 1797. (E.
