SS 80 SW SANDFORD SHUTE (South side), Sandford

3/262 Linhay approx 4m west of Town Barton including cob wall to east

GV II

Linhay. Probably C17. Cob on rubble footings; wheat reed thatched roof. Originally open-fronted 6-bay Alcock Type T1 linhay facing south (away from road). Original hayloft floor has been lowered. Ground floor now weatherboarded. Roof hipped each end. A-frame roof with pegged lap-jointed collars. From rear of right (east) end a high cob wall extends to meet Town Barton house. (q.v.)
