pointing, peg-tiled hipped roof, red brick stack. Rectangular
plan. 2 storeys. W front elevation: 2 units, to N, No.2: house
of 2 window range, central stack between, front door at S end.
Windows, ground floor, paired horned sashes, 4x2 panes, good
voussoirs, splayed sills (now cement rendered, also reveals).
First floor, paired C20 casements, also 4x2 panes, dentilled
eaves. Front door has 4 bead-moulded panels, good voussoirs.
No.2A: ground floor doorway to N, similar to adjacent door of
No.2 but early C20 door of 4 panels, upper 2 glazed, lower 2
recessed. Shop window, 4 panes with glazing bars, simple
enbablature and pilasters. C20 boarding below. First floor has
blind window recess. S elevation to Castle Street: similar
brickwork with street corner chamfered on ground floor and
corbelled above to right angle on first floor. Ground floor,
shop window similar to one in Bridge street but comprises two
2x2 paned casements in all 4x2 panes. To E, voussoir remains
of a blocked window. First floor, early C20 window of paired
2x2 casements, in all, 4x2 panes set over shop window below.
Truncated red brick stack through lower roof pitch over
blocked window. N end elevation: rendered with fixed pane
attic window, roof half hipped above.
