GV II
Farmhouse. Early C17, with later C17 extension to right; early C19 alterations. Uncoursed and coursed limestone rubble; gabled concrete tile roof; end and ridge stacks of stone finished in brick. 3-unit plan extended to L-plan with rear right wing. 2 storeys and attic; 7-window range. Mid C19 bracketed hood over early C18 six-panelled door set in chamfered wood frame with overlight. Jewel-stopped timber lintels to centre and right, and timber lintels to left over early C19 six- and 8-pane sashes. Half of early C17 pargetted strapwork panel over door. Gabled roof dormers. Late C17 two- and one-light chamfered wood-mullioned windows to rear. Similar jewel-stopped timber lintels and sashes to rear right wing. C19 one-storey service wings to rear. Interior: C18 two-panelled doors to left. Room to left has stone flag floors, chamfered beam with meat hooks and chamfered doorframe with bar stops. Stop-chamfered beams throughout. Hall to right of centre has early C18 straight-flight staircase, to rear, with turned balusters set on closed string. C17 winder stairs to right. Early C18 moulded cornice and bolection-moulded panelling in room to rear right. First floor has part of early C18 panelled dado to rear right; early C18 two-panelled door to winder stairs on right; central timber-framed partition. Attic has butt-purl in roofs, with collar trusses to centre; stop-chamfered doorframes to rear of stack.
