Manor house. Said early C17, altered and extended late C17 for Sir Roger Wilbraham. Squared coursed limestone and ironstone, partly limestone banded with ironstone, tile roof, stone stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Central gabled porch has entrance with 4-centred moulded stone arch, 3-light stone mullioned window on the first floor and similar 2-light window in the attic. Stone sundial between first floor and attic windows. Coped gable end with finial, and kneelers with ball finials. 3-light stone mullioned windows to ground and first floors on either side. Those to right without hoods. Small one-light stone framed window to left of porch on ground floor, similar window (blocked) in same position on first floor. Stacks to left of porch and in centre. Coped gable ends with kneelers. Extension from left side at rear, probably late C17, similar materials, 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays, has 3-light stone mullioned windows on both floors with flat moulded hoods and gabled half-dormer with 3-light stone mullioned window. Coped gable end with stone stack. Lower extension to right, late C17, similar materials. 2 storeys, one bay. Doorway in left bay with moulded stone frame, stop chamfered jambs and flat moulded stone hood. 3-light stone mullioned window to right, similar window on first floor. Coped gable end with stone stack. Gabled staircase projection in angle at rear. Outbuilding adjoining main block at rear, said to be former laundry, late C17, coursed squared ironstone, slate roof, brick stack to left. One storey, 3 bays. Entrance in left bay has wood lintel and plank door. One-light stone mullioned window to right. 2-light stone mullioned window in right bay. Wall projecting iron left side front of house, C17, coursed squared ironstone with stone coping has doorway with 4-centred stone arch. Interior: C17 moulded wood door frames with stop chamfered jambs. Closed well staircase has stud wall in centre with a cupboard. Early C17 stone fireplace in first floor room with 4-centred arch, moulded entablature on brackets, and cornice and jambs with lozenge decoration. Late C17 bolection moulded stone fireplace in first floor room. Chamfered beams.
