Church. C12 in origin with late medieval, C18, C19 and C20 rebuilding and restoration. Limestone rubble and ashlar with sandstone showing evidence of burning to vestry, and brick in English garden wall bond to north wall of nave; Welsh slate roof. 2-bay nave, 2-bay chancel with north vestry. West front: pointed doorway, probably of C19 date with 2-light trefoiled window above, flanked by diagonal buttresses. Nave south aide: single narrow trefoiled window to west, two 3-light trefoiled windows to east. Nave north side: single narrow trefoiled window to east. All nave windows in square headed frames. Gabled bellcote with paired pointed arches at junction of nave and chancel. Chancel south side: small trefoiled window to west. To centre a tall blocked round arch contains a 2-light trefoiled window in a round-arched frame. To east a lower blocked round arch has inserted 2-light square-headed-window above. To the north side of the chancel is the vestry with a round-arched doorway to the north and lancets to its east and west facades. Blocked lancet to north side of chancel. East end: 3-light trefoiled window in square-headed frame. Interior: east window contains reset C14 window glass. The outer lights contain early C14 window glass, and depict composite figures in architectural backgrounds. Central light is of later C14 material. and has 2 panels showing a crowned female and a mitred bishop. Restored and releaded in 1956. Chancel: 3 good C17 canopied wall monuments. To south wall, monument to Ursula Hutton, dated c1640-50, depicts a kneeling man flanked by 2 women, one with a child, the other with a baby, framed by Tuscan columns supporting a broken pediment, Latin inscription beneath. To north wall, monument to Anne Hutton, died 1651, with bust of -deceased leaning on cushion, hands in prayer, flanked by raised panels with pediment supporting 3 figures above, Latin inscription below. Monument to Thomas Hutton, died l620, depicts deceased kneeling beneath round-arched canopy with dentilled frieze supporting an achievement of arms flanked by putti, very worn Latin inscription below. All monuments recently restored and repainted at time of resurvey. East wall of vestry has incised cross with chalice and missal, a priest's monument probably of C13 date.
