Gault brick, stucco, slate roof. Rectangular plan. 3 storeys.
Front N elevation, to Market Row. Stuccoed, string course
between upper floors, 3 bays, central early C19 doorway,
cornice hood and plain jambs, overlight with C20 fully glazed
door, to W, shop frontage with Cl9 cornice, rest C20, canted
round street corner under building above. To E, C20 single
light casement window. First floor, sash windows with moulded
arachitrave, glazing bars, 4x4 panes, central one blind,
second floor 4x3 paned sash window. Deep eaved roof with
wooden soffit boards has red brick stack at E end. Rear S
elevation, to Hill Street, 3 bays with quadrant corner at W
end, vertical break in walling where 2 E bays added c1900 in
former yard. Ground floor, E-W, early C20 integrated doorway
and shop window, fluted pilasters, fascia board. Doorway has
overlight door of 4 panels, upper 2 glazed with leaded stained
glass. Fixed window of plain glass, W bay rendered with upper
string and plain sheet glass shop window. Second floor, E-W,
two 3x3 paned sash windw, one blocked window, first floor
similar but middle window now of plain sashes. W elevation to
Cross Street. 4 bays, quadrant corner at S end, early C20 shop
across ground floor with recessed doorway. First floor sash
windows with glazing bars, 3x4 panes but N end one blocked.
Second floor similar but windows of 3x3 panes.
