red brick, peg and clay tile roof. Long L plan of principal
range and lean-to. 2 storeys and attic. S elevation: original
frontage, 4 window range, uneven bays, large stack towards E
end with 4 `concertina' shafts over ovolo moulded brickwork
cornice, second minor ridge stack at W end. All windows C20
3-light casements with glazing bars, ground floor 6x4 panes,
first floor 6x3 panes. 3 gabled dormer windows, casements 4x3
panes. Ground floor C20 doorway in line with main stack, door
with upper glazing. N elevation: range has C19 red brick
lean-to with catslide roof at W end. To E, adjacent C20 French
window as a porch with lean-to peg-tiled roof. To N, long C20
conservatory with spur to NE at E end. Above conservatory, 2
casement windows below house eaves. W end elevation: principal
gable end bricked, C17 on ground floor, C18 and C19 above. C19
apex stack has central fillet. Lean-to to N rendered framing
with lower brickwork and doorway, C20 door of 6 fielded
panels, fixed paned casement window each side. C20 brick open
sided porch, gabled roof. E end elevation: original
barge-boards and flying collar on projecting horns. Boards
have divided date 16 - 43. 3 cant bay window through both
storeys, plastered corbel below. C20 casement, 1:2:1.
INTERIOR: not inspected but big ground floor timber lintelled
fireplace to W, small brick-arched fireplace to E. The
building is a large 3-celled lobby-entrance house with, E-W,
parlour, hall, service room. Service end may have been heated
from the beginning as a kitchen end.
