House. Early C19 `cottage ornee'. Gault brick with deep thatched roof. Plan irregular with porched rectangular range and large central rear wing, also a lesser one at west end and C20 clasping rear addition at east end in similar style. One and a half storeys with tall decorative stacks.
Front, north elevation: symmetrical four window range, windows have stone mullions and dressings, three-lights with upper transom and iron octagonal pattern casements. Projecting central porch with four-centre arched doorway and arched trefoil traceried side openings in return walls. Inner door in Jacobean style, battened and studded boards, `jewel' decorated. Above, two-light window in four-centre arched frame, lattice casements. Bold barge-boards. Above principal windows, dormers in house style, thatched, barge-boards and two-light latticed casements. Three `Tudor' style stacks alternate with dormers, square bases with chamfered cornice and octagonal shafts, four on end stacks, two on central stack. Rear south, garden elevation: broad central wing in house style with deep pierced decorative barge-boards and pendants. Ground floor French window with upper Chinese lattice glazing and bead-moulded flush lower panels. Above, three-light window with intersecting tracery, two thatched dormer windows project on west side. West wing in house style, ground floor transomed four-light window, upper lights lozenge lattice glazing, first floor two-light arch-headed window in square frame. Several small windows with lattice glazing in rear of house, single dormer window in house style between projecting wings. East end elevation: C20 two-storey addition in general house style with casement window, some have rectangular leaded panes. Side door, four panels, upper ones glazed. West end elevation: flat roofed side porch with C19 six-panel door. Wall: yellow brick dwarf wall with round coping, wrought-iron railings, spear head alternating with `bud' finials, lower split curls. Wrought-iron square framed tented gate piers, bud finials.
