Details

HEWELSFIELD GENERAL SO 50 SE 6/37 Monument to SON OF JOHN JANE in the churchyard c2.5m south of chancel wall to church of St Mary Magdalen GV II Chest tomb. Mid to late C17. Sandstone. Flat top to cavetto mould edge, plain panels, moulded base part sunk at time of survey, November 1983. Inscriptions include '.... son of John Jane and date 177...; monument lies c2m north of John Jane monument (qv).
