5/66 Manor Farmhouse

GV II

Large farmhouse. Early/mid C18. Random coursed rubble stone, stone slate roof, stone end and ridge stack with offset and cornice. Single main range with rear wing, cross wing to left, and single storey wing to right. Two storeys and attic. Four bays including gable end to cross wing, mostly 3-light and some 2- light casements of 6 or 8 panes with timber lintels, two 3-light gabled dormers on eaves. Long casements on ground floor, with recessed C19 door immediately right of gabled return, half-glazed with margin glazing and with timber lintel. Nearly symmetrical south-west front has slightly projecting section with hipped roof and quoins, moulded stone frame to wood mullion and transom linked by flush apron to pulvinated stone door surround. Two-light casements to each side and gabled dormers.
