Farmhouse C17, probably earlier core, remodelled circa C18 with several C20 additions. Whitewashed slatestone rubble with slate roofs, recent C20 additions not whitewashed. East-facing range, 1 room deep with stack at south gable end. Second heated room in middle of range and third room, now kitchen, to the right. C20 wing projects at front left, C20 2-storey addition at rear. East front: 2 storey, 4 window range, 2 bays broken forward under roof of shallower pitch, possibly original hall window bay. C17 entrance and porch, front left, enclosed by C20 addition. Porch has slatestone, slate-topped bench and round-headed, granite, hollow-chamfered inner door with cross curved in relief at apex. 2 ground floor windows renewed sashes with slate sills; upper storey window, renewed casements, one under raking roof projecting slightly above eaves line. Second entrance with renovated porch to right of projecting bay. Ground floor room at left end of range has massive fireplace, now blocked, with chamfered granite lintel and jambs; slate floor; main ceiling beams chamfered with straight cut stops. Room in centre of range has fireplace with chamfered granite lintel and jambs and cloam oven; slate floor; main ceiling beams chamfered with bar stops. Slatestone stair with oak treads, blocked at first floor, to left of fireplace. Section of rear wall in this room exposed to show thin unjointed studding with slatestone infill. Exposed principals in upper storey. Fireplace with granite lintel and jambs in upper storey room left. In left ground floor room small wooden 2-light, trefoil-headed gothic ashlar earlier window originally lighting stair turret, now inserted in inner rear wall, chamfered granite mullions re-used in recent C20 additions.
