Former farmhouse, now house. C15, mid-late C16, altered late C18,
mid C20. Brick-nogged timber-framing, brick gable, shingled roof.
Two-bay block with single-bay wing forming 'L', each 1 1/2 storeys,
one room deep. Facade to Persh Lane, base, gable crucks on left,
long braces eaves to sill between, single mid rail. Eight-pane
horizontal window left, added C20, 16-pane similar right, 2-light
casement with small panes over. Roof slopes down to lower eaves
on left return. To right added wing, 3-panel high framing, bottom
close studded, upper 2 square, long braces end posts to sill, heavy
centre post. Single-light window left of centre, half of original
opening. End brick gable frames timber on right; ridge chimney
on gable. Left return facing Main Road: framing 2 panels high;
blocked door on right; 3-light casement with small panes; end
section painted brickwork on left. Gable chimney on left, large,
mid to late C20 gabled dormer, 4-light casement and bulls eye;
roof hipped on right. Interior not accessible. Formerly
thatched, with 2 further timber-framed bays on left of Main Road
facade, demolished probably mid-late C20; large dormer replaced
small, swept one (photograph at NMR; Picturesque Gloucestershire,
1928).
