WHITLEY BAY MARDEN ROAD (west side) NZ 37 SE 5/180 Drinking fountain east of Church of St. Paul. G.V. II Drinking fountain. Dated 1864. Coursed squared sandstone; cast iron bowl. DRINKING FOUNTAIN in low relief on iron bowl set in cusped stone niche; crescent and wreath carved decoration and inscription AD 1864 under coped gable.
