Details

TQ 2981 SE CITY OF WESTMINSTER FRITH STREET, W1 58/41 24.6.75 No. 64 GV II Terrace house. Probably of c.1690 origin but perhaps entirely rebuilt c.1734. Rendered brick, concealed roof, 4 storeys and basement. 3 windows wide. Later C20 shop front to ground floor. Upper floors have recessed flat arched, glazing bar sashes. Parapet with coping. Interior is least altered of row, retaining early C18 fittings including ovolo moulded panelling to stairwell, dog leg stairs with closed strings, turned balusters and column newels, boxed in on bottom flight; 1st floor complete with doors, shutters, sunk ovolo panelling, box cornice and dentil course to front room etc. No. 64 is probably of same build as Nos. 62 and 63.
