NORTH GRAY ROAD 1. 5005 (west side) North Cray Walls surrounding and to west and south-west of Parish Church of St James and gatepiers and gates to west of church TQ 47 SE 4/21 II 2. Mid C18 red brick walls to former North Cray Place; much pierced along North Cray Road. Includes fine gateway immediately west of Church of St James, with piers surmounted by stone pineapples; wrought-iron gates with overthrow, which formerly contained the initials H.H., now replaced by a cross; constructed by William Burcke for the Hetherington family.
