Early C19 but with early Victorian alterations. Situated on the western corner of the
High Street and St James's Street qv. 2 storeys stucco. High Panelled wood parapet
above stucco panelled parapet and cornice. High Street front has 6 windows, recessed,
sash, block sills and flat arches with rounded corners (one blind). Oriel window to the
east of 5 lights, panelled apron. Doors below oriel and at west end, recessed, flat
arches with rounded corners. 4 windows on St James's Street front, same as on High
Street. Ground floor ornate public house front with panelled ornamental pilasters with
floral capitals, brackets, caps, frieze and cornice. 2 windows divided into 2 lights by
corkscrew colonettes, flat arches with rounded corners, panelling below. Double central
doors with rectangular fanlight, side door of 4 fielded panels blind fanlight, flat and
