Parish Church. Late C12 core remodelled and extended in mid-C14. North aisle demolished in medieval period and rebuilt, with addition of organ chamber and vestry, in late C19. Squared stone with dressings. C19 parts rough-faced stone; slate roofs. 2-bay aisled nave with south porch, chancel with south chapel and C19 additions on north.

Porch, with hollow-chamfered pointed arch under coped gable, has low stone benches and door with keeled mouldings and hood with rosette stops. To east two C14 windows, each of 2trefoiled ogee-headed lights with pierced spandrels under a square head with hoodmould; large stepped buttress to east. West end has chamfered plinth and large roughly-squared masonry of C12 type; three 2-light windows and large stepped buttresses all C19. Coped gable and gabled bellcote. North wall of nave continuous with organ chamber: Four 2-light windows copied from south wall.

Chapel has two similar C14 windows on south and 3-light C19 east window. Chancel has chamfered plinth; taller similar 2-light south window and coeval 3-light east window with curvilinear tracery under pointed arch with hood, flanked by stepped buttresses, that to south C19. Vestry has re-set medieval door on north with pointed chamfered arch, C13 cross slab as internal lintel.

Interior: 2-bay north arcade has pointed double-chamfered arches, hooded towards nave, on round pier; moulded capital with square abacus: 3-bay arcade on south with octagonal piers. Chancel arch and arch dividing south aisle from chapel also spring from eastern pier. Cut-back stoup by south door; hollow-chamfered piscina in south chapel. Chancel has C19 arch to organ chamber and moulded sill string on east,stepped down at south end. Sill of south window lowered to form sedilia with integral shelf and pillar piscina; second piscina to east has trefoiled hollow-chamfered arch, shelf and lockers. Two tomb recesses on north have keeled mouldings and moulded hoods: the eastern has a pointed arch with Widdrington arms at the apex, the western a lower segmental arch and a small cross slab set into its sill.
