Terraced houses. c1807-28 with later alterations. Stucco,
roofs obscured by parapet.
EXTERIOR: 4-storeys over basement, one-window range. Ground
floor of No.21 has a large C20 window inserted; that to Nos
22-23 and 25 decorated with banded rustication. Entrances on
Nos 22 and 23 segmental-arched with recessed flat-arched
doorcase and overlight, that to No.24 is segmental-arched and
retains original decorative glazing to fanlight but has been
much altered; that to No.25 has a wooden doorcase with Greek
Doric columns, cornice, fanlight over with decorative glazing,
and panelled door of original design; all houses have
full-height segmental bays except to ground floor of No.21,
offset a little on upper floors; tripartite windows flanked by
fluted pilasters on ground floor of Nos 22-23 and tripartite
windows throughout except to first and second floors of No.21;
bracketed balconies to first floor possibly all much altered;
canopy to Nos 22-23; sashes of original design to Nos 22-23
and upper part of 24; cornice to Nos 21-23, blocking course;
stacks to party walls. Cast-iron railings in part to steps and
area with spearhead finials.
No.21 has a left-hand return decorated with banded rustication
on ground floor; steps up to prostyle porch with Greek Doric
columns and pilasters; entablature and blocking course;
round-arched entrance with overlight; scattered fenestration
above. Rear elevations of Nos 21-24 have 6/6 sashes of
original design, so far as visible.
