12/06/50 GV II three terrace houses. c1770.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, rubble rear, slate roofs.
PLAN: Double depth houses, with steep mansard roofs.

No.18 has twelve-pane dormer, above twelve-pane at second and first floors, with large sixteen-pane in splayed surround at ground floor, and deep twelve-pane to basement. To left original six-panel door in stone Doric doorcase with 3/4 columns and closed pediment. No.19 similar, but with paired twelve-pane dormer, and with large sixteen-pane to basement. No.20 has sixteen-pane dormer, tripartite four:eight:four-pane to ground floor, and paired twelve-pane to basement. All have plinth, first floor platband, moulded cornice with blocking course and parapet, and paired deep stacks to right to coped party divisions. At rear are triple twelve-pane dormers, but paired to No.20, above twelve-pane sashes at four floors, with door at basement level. Walling in coursed rubble, but with ashlar parapet and mouldings.
INTERIORS: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Basement area to each enclosed by simple spearhead railings, returned at doorways, on ashlar curb to rounded top. These three houses were built at one time, but slight variations in layout reflect the speculative nature of the development; they retain most of the original features externally, including the rear.
