Midsummer Hill Camp

Midsummer Hill Camp is situated within the parish of Eastnor, in the administrative county of Hereford but on the border with Worcestershire. Centred at NGR SO 761 374, it lies 8km south of Great Malvern, while the market towns of Ledbury and Tewkesbury lie 5km and 13km to the west and south-east respectively. It is listed in the National Monuments Record (NMR) as SO 73 NE 11, is Scheduled Monument No Hereford/Worcs 4a, and lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the Malvern Hills themselves. Within the interior of the camp are a number of earthworks, traces of settlement, a pillow mound at NGR SO 7618 3740 separately recorded as NMR No SO NE 10, as well as other features of a more uncertain nature.
