In January 2000 English Heritage undertook archaeological and architectural investigation and analytical survey at Richard's Castle as part of the development of a management strategy for the site. The castle itself, the remains of the medieval borough and several adjacent historic buildings were studied. (This report was originally numbered 21/2000 in the Archaeological Investigation Series.)
