Embury Beacon, Hartland, Devonshire: an archaeological survey by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England

Author(s): Martin Fletcher, Simon Probert

In February 1997 RCHME undertook an archaeological investigation and analytical field survey of the earthworks at Embury Beacon to assist management of the site, which is being lost to coastal erosion. The remains of the presumed Iron Age promontory fort were recorded, with a barrow and an alleged beacon site.
