Fountains Abbey, South Side of Precinct: Archaeological Survey Report

Between December 1990 and March 1991 RCHME undertook an archaeological investigation and analytical field survey of the southern side of the precinct at Fountains Abbey. The survey recorded building remains, trackways, boundaries, features relating to water management and cultivation remains. Some of these are of relatively recent date but others are undoubtedly of medieval origin.
