Bronsil Castle, Eastnor, Herefordshire: a survey of the remains of a 15th century mansion, its surrounding moat, and ponds

Author(s): Nicky Smith

In Febuary 2000 English Heritage undertook archaeological investigation and an analytical field survey of Bronsil Castle, its moat, adjacent ponds and water channels, in order to provide analysis of the earthworks, a large-scale plan for management purposes and to update the site record. The survey formed part of a wider scheme of work initiated by the RCHME to investigate the historic landscape and earthwork remains of the Malvern Hills AONB, within which Bronsil Castle lies.
