POLWHELE CASTLE, DORSET: REPORT ON GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY, 1988.

Author(s): Paul Linford, D Shiel

This survey of an oval cropmark site threatened by road construction successfully identified a ditched enclosure similar to a Cornish 'raund'. Additional features located outside the enclosure, but not necessarily related to it, include linear ditches, pits, and evidence for occupation.
