Housesteads Fort 1984 - The Wooden Artefacts

Four wooden artefacts were analysed from contexts H20/10/42 and H20/10/48 and the species of wood identified. Two objects were found to be made from hazel (Corylus avellana L.) and two were made from exotic woods, sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.) and silver fir (Picea abies Mill.).
