VERULAMIUM, ST ALBANS. REPORT ON GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY, 1994

Author(s): M A Cole

Geophysical survey was undertaken at Verulamium, St Albans, in response to a request from the Landscape Branch of English Heritage. The aim of the survey was to assess the archaeological potential of the area in advance of a programme of tree planting. The results indicate the presence of buried occupational features to the east, with associated industrial activity, and suggest that the western half of the surveyed area is relatively free of previous occupation.
