CRUCIBLE FRAGMENTS FROM CASTLE RISING, NORFOLK.

A number of crucible fragments were examined from twelfth century levels at Castle Rising, Norfolk. Some of the fragments came from large globular bowl formcrucibles and seem to have been used to melt copper withsome traces of zinc and lead.
