Priests’ Room & Annex, Church of St Mary, North Bar Within, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire: Tree-ring analysis of timbers
Author(s): Alison Arnold, Robert Howard, Cathy Tyers
Two samples taken from main beams of the roof of the Annex of the Church of St Mary, Beverley, have been dated, one to a felling date range of AD 1335–60 and the second to a terminus post quem felling of AD 1348. The two beams are thought likely to be coeval and suggest construction of the Annex occurred in or shortly after felling of both timbers in AD 1349–60.
