ANIMAL BONES FROM THE 1981 EXCAVATIONS AT BALKSBURY, HAMPSHIRE.

A small sample of animal bones was recovered from theCentral Excavation Unit's excavations at Balksbury in1981. 447 fragments were associated with Late Bronze Age - Early Iron Age features and 306 were found within the layers associated with a Romano- British track andentrance way. These data supplement the results obtained from the much larger faunal sample from the 1973 excavations.
