ForIn 2005, The Parks Agency was commissioned to undertake a study of London’s commons, heaths and greens and to identify historic environment conservation issues, and priorities for future study and funding. The study was prompted by concerns about the pressures faced by these green spaces and the need to have a better understanding about their historic interest and levels of change.
